How to Manage Your Subscription

Learn how to upgrade your plan, manage billing, track usage, and handle subscription changes.

Viewing Your Current Plan

To see your subscription details:

Go to Billing
Click your organization name → Settings → Billing.

See your current plan, billing date, and payment method.

Upgrading Your Plan

When to Upgrade

Consider upgrading when you:

  • Need more team members
  • Run out of AI generation quota
  • Want more discovery sessions
  • Need advanced features or priority support

How to Upgrade

Go to Billing
Navigate to Settings → Billing.

Click 'Upgrade Plan'
Select the plan you want to upgrade to (Growth or Pro).

Review Changes
See the new features, limits, and pricing. Check pro-rated charges if upgrading mid-cycle.

Confirm Upgrade
Click 'Confirm Upgrade'. Changes take effect immediately.

Update Payment
If needed, update your payment method for the new plan.

Pro-Rated Billing: When upgrading mid-cycle, you’ll be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining days. Your next billing date stays the same.

Downgrading Your Plan

Before You Downgrade

Check these limits:

  • Team members (you may need to remove some)
  • Active integrations
  • Monthly usage quotas
  • Features you’ll lose access to

How to Downgrade

Go to Billing
Navigate to Settings → Billing.

Click 'Change Plan'
Select the plan you want to downgrade to.

Review Impact
See what features you'll lose and new quota limits. Review team member count.

Adjust if Needed
If over limits, remove team members or reduce usage before downgrading.

Confirm Downgrade
Click 'Confirm Downgrade'. Changes take effect at the end of current billing cycle.

Downgrade Timing: Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep current plan benefits until then.

Managing Payment Methods

Adding a Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click ‘Payment Methods’
  3. Click ‘Add Payment Method’
  4. Enter card details
  5. Click ‘Save’

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to Payment Methods
  2. Click ‘Set as Default’ on the card you want to use
  3. Old card remains on file as backup

Removing Payment Method

  1. Go to Payment Methods
  2. Click ‘Remove’ on the card
  3. Confirm removal

Note: You must have at least one payment method on file for paid plans.

Viewing Invoices

Access all past invoices:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click ‘Invoices’ tab
  3. View list of all invoices
  4. Click ‘Download PDF’ to save

Invoices include:

  • Billing period
  • Plan name and price
  • Payment date
  • Payment method used
  • Itemized charges

Tracking Usage

Monitor your quota usage to avoid hitting limits:

AI Test Generation

  • View: Settings → Billing → Usage
  • Shows: Tests generated this month vs. limit
  • Resets: Monthly on your billing date

Discovery Sessions

  • View: Settings → Billing → Usage
  • Shows: Sessions run this month vs. limit
  • Resets: Monthly on your billing date

Team Members

  • View: Team page or Billing → Usage
  • Shows: Active members vs. plan limit
  • Action: Remove members or upgrade if at limit

Usage Alerts: Enable email alerts in Settings → Notifications to get notified when approaching quota limits (80%, 90%, 100%).

Billing Cycle

How It Works

  • Monthly billing on the same day each month
  • Anniversary date: Based on when you first subscribed
  • Auto-renewal: Plans renew automatically unless cancelled

Changing Billing Date

Contact support to change your billing date. This may result in a pro-rated charge.

Cancelling Your Subscription

What to Know Before Cancelling

  • Access continues until end of billing period
  • All data is retained for 30 days after cancellation
  • You can reactivate anytime within 30 days
  • After 30 days, data is permanently deleted

How to Cancel

Go to Billing
Navigate to Settings → Billing.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'
Scroll to the bottom and click the cancel link.

Select Reason
Tell us why you're cancelling (helps us improve).

Confirm Cancellation
Click 'Confirm Cancellation'. Your plan remains active until period end.

Export Data (Optional)
Download your test cases and results before the 30-day retention period ends.

Reactivating After Cancellation

Within 30 days:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click ‘Reactivate Subscription’
  3. Update payment method if needed
  4. Confirm reactivation

Trial Period

Free Trial

  • Duration: 14 days
  • Features: Full Pro plan access
  • No credit card: Required at signup
  • Conversion: Automatically converts to Starter plan after 14 days

During Trial

  • Access all Pro features
  • Test unlimited features
  • Evaluate for your team
  • Upgrade anytime to lock in current features

After Trial

  • Automatically downgraded to free Starter plan
  • Keep all test cases and data
  • Reduced quotas apply
  • Can upgrade anytime to paid plan

Trial Tip: Invite your whole team during the trial to evaluate collaboration features with full Pro access.

Failed Payments

What Happens

If a payment fails:

  1. Day 1: Automatic retry + email notification
  2. Day 3: Second retry attempt
  3. Day 7: Final retry + account warning
  4. Day 10: Account downgraded to free plan

Resolving Payment Issues

  1. Check that card is valid and not expired
  2. Ensure sufficient funds available
  3. Verify billing address matches card
  4. Contact your bank if card is being declined
  5. Add a new payment method if needed

Tax and Billing Address

Updating Billing Address

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click ‘Billing Information’
  3. Update address
  4. Click ‘Save’

Tax IDs and VAT

For EU customers, add your VAT ID:

  1. Go to Billing Information
  2. Enter VAT/Tax ID
  3. Tax treatment applied automatically

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch plans anytime? Yes, you can upgrade immediately or downgrade at cycle end.

What happens to my data if I cancel? Data is retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.

Can I get a refund? We offer refunds within 7 days of purchase for new customers.
